The Night Keeper

Night falls in The Garden, only the Keeper remains.

All music, art, and code, original work created for this game, were made during the BlackThornProd  #3 Game Jam. January 2021!

Controls:

  • WASD or Arrow Keys to move
  • SPACE to turn on and off your lantern

Night falls in The Garden, just like it does at the end of every day, just like it has done for as long as we can remember.

In the evening, when the Visitors have gone, only the groundskeeper remains. He has one more job before he can rest.

He must travel the Garden one last time, extinguishing every light that keeps the dark away.

He’s done it his whole life, for as long as he can remember.

But somehow, each night is different. As the darkness closes in, new paths are revealed, new… friends… appear, and even after all this time, the journey towards darkness is never easy.

A really nice game with clever puzzles and astounding art direction, very atmospherical :)

Feel free to check my own entry for jam <3

This was very nice and also a great concept! I got stuck fairly fast though! But find my gameplay footage below: 1:26:34 The Night Keeper

REALLY NICE, CANT PASS SECOND LEVEL THO, STATUE IS IN PLACE BUT NOTHING HAPPENS :/

Level 2? Once you place the statue the bridge raises out of the water. But the statue no longer moves. Perhaps the answer lies in the dark  😏 hope you take another look, there are 5 levels to get to!

The art, atmosphere, and music are amazing. Really impressive for a week long game jam! The puzzles were fun as well. I was a bit confused at first because there were a lot of creatures and I wasn't sure where to start, but once I got used to what I should be looking for the game went smooth. Great job!

Great job! Very fun puzzle game!
